The secondary education system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is undergoing a qualitative transformation that aligns with the future directions of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to develop educational outcomes and connect them with labor market needs. The secondary stage is one of the most important educational stages in a student’s life, as it forms the bridge between basic education and university or vocational education, and helps guide students toward the appropriate academic or vocational specialization that matches their skills and interests.
Through the new Saudi secondary education system, the ‘Educational Pathways System’ has been adopted as a comprehensive framework that enhances educational efficiency, provides students with flexible opportunities to acquire 21st-century skills, and promotes the concept of continuous learning.
